In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, rumors, misinformation, and scams have been circulating. Stories about a September 1st deadline to file a claim, "robo-calls" about expired flood policies, and Department of Homeland Security impersonators are just a few. This can lead to increased anxiety at a time when people are already traumatized by the event itself.
